The filming of the project took place with the support of the Governor of the Krasnoyarsk Territory, Alexander Uss, as part of the celebration of the 200th anniversary of the Yenisei province. Organizational assistance in the preparatory and filming period was provided by Yenisei Cinema.
The historical part was filmed in Shushenskoye and Minusinsk. Some of the filming took place in Krasnoyarsk itself, and some of the interiors were shot in St. Petersburg, the famous horse races «Turansky Bereg» in the Krasnoturansky district and other events in the region were also in the frame. Actors from theaters of the Krasnoyarsk Territory and local residents were involved in the work on the picture.
